Our Christmas family has been approved!  At the moment we only have one family as donations are down and that is all we can do! If things turn out different we have plenty of applications so that we can pick another!!

About our family!

Our family is a single mommy and her precious baby boy!
Bentley is 1 yr old. He was a premie weighing in at just over 3 lbs. He now is weighing a little over 17 lbs. He wears Huggies ( the only ones that he can wear due to skin reactions) size 3. So if you want to buy diapers they need to be Huggies. He is wearing 6-9 months clothes but he just got a large donation of this size so can really use size 12 months for the coming year.

Of course any new unopened toys for a 1 yr old would be so appreciated. I know some of you have used toys and I am sure that will make a great addition to the donations. I think we should also have new toys for the little guy! (Smile)

Mommy Amber is 24 and in a wheelchair. I am not sure what we will be doing for her, but from the people I have talked to they are wanting to donate personal care items ( not too personal ) to make her more comfortable…maybe a basket full of different “girlie” things. We will have to put some thought into this.

Also…it occurred to me that some people may want to send a gift card or paypal donation and direct me to buy items for them. If that makes it easier, especially for people out of town,state or country,  then I am happy to be personal shopper. I already have to go out and buy the bulk of the items…so shopping for any out of towners ( or anyone ) who wish to donate would be my pleasure. My email for Paypal is indychristine@gmail.com You can also use the PayPal Donate boxes on the right, the one marked “general fund” will go to our Christmas family. Please let me know if you are going to use this option and have something specific that I can purchase for you or if it should just be used to buy “something” for them. You can put a note on the donation from within PayPal. If you have something in mind for me to buy  I will make sure to buy what you direct me to and take a picture of it so that you can see it and send you the receipt if you wold like.

We need to get this “wrapped” up no later than Dec 16th!

My ultimate prayer is that even though we are helping just one family this year….it will be so successful that we can envision it growing to more each year (regardless of the economy). Just so you know we are down from 10 families last year! I want to get back to that or more!
